Here are some commonly asked questions. If you can't find an answer to your question, please Contact Us and we will be happy to assist you.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time so that you can complete our paperwork. Please bring your picture ID and Insurance Card with you so that we may copy them both. You will meet with Dr. Ruesch-Lane to discuss the reason for your office visit, your past medical history, and your current health state. After the initial interview, Dr. Ruesch-Lane may treat you that day, but this depends on the type and level of pain you are experiencing; she may refer you out for X-rays, MRI, or else where depending on your condition. The first visit typically lasts 90 minutes.
This depends on your condition and pain level. Most new patients are seen 1 –2 times per week, for a couple of weeks, in order to break the pain-spasm cycle and get you back to your “normal” life. It is the goal of our office to get you back to full function as quickly as possible.
Dr. Ruesch-Lane accepts all insurances, except HMO’s, and we are In-Network with Blue Shield PPO of California. If you have another insurance, we would be pleased to check your coverage and discuss payment arrangements.
Please be advised that different practitioners within this office accept different insurances. If you would like more information, please contact our office and we would be happy to discuss that with you.
Yes. The rates for a cash patient are: Initial Visit $185; Follow Up Visit $90. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) for payment of fees. Additionally, the cash rates do vary by practitioner and we would be happy to discuss that with you.
Dr. Ruesch-Lane started out as a Kinesiologist prior to receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic. This unique approach has enabled Dr. Ruesch-Lane to treat the entire individual, not just the painful area, and she can treat the entire body, not just the neck or back. She has extensive experience treating rotator cuff repairs, knee injuries, tennis elbow, whiplash, headaches, jaw pain, ankle sprains, and, of course, back and neck pain, among many others.
Dr. Ruesch-Lane follows the Janda approach to treating imbalances within the body. She has also taken continuing education coursework in the McKenzie method, Kinesiotaping, integrating Yoga and Pilates into rehabilitation, and utilizing research findings in musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
Dr. Ruesch-Lane commonly refers patients to athletic trainers, pilates instructors, massage therapists, craniosacral therapists, acupuncturists, orthopedists, and neurologists in order to provide an optimal environment for healing. The integration of different disciplines allows the patient to fix imbalances, reduce stress, improve stability, and assist with mental wellness, among other things.
